Twilight

Crescent Moon, Jupiter and Venus. I love this time of the day before the sky goes black. As you can see (I know there small) the Moon, Jupiter and Venus are already visible in the twilight. This is my favorite time of day

Dance to the Music

Having a great love for music and being a drummer myself I love the African rhythms I heard in Angola. Many of the rhythms I heard were very familiar to me especially since I listen to a lot of Latin  music being Puerto Rican,
Then a friend reminded me Marcos, were do think these rhythms come from? Oh yeah I forgot. I've heard these all my life and forget the African connection to the music in the Caribbean

Colorful Sunset

Sunset on the Kwanza River in Angola, Africa. I get ask a lot if I like Black & White photography? Yes, I do. However, I see the world in color and I dream in color. But also, when I go through my photos I do ask myself? Would this image look better in Color or in B&W. On an earlier post where I use the Washington Monument, I use a B&W image because it just fit the mood better than the color version.

Angola

Mirdoura da Lua, just outside the capital city of Luanda, in Angola, Africa. These unusual rock formations sit right along side the Atlantic Ocean. I would have love to have been able to photograph these at sunset but time would not permit it. I was just thankful to get what I got and to have had the opportunity to visit this wonderful country.

Guatemala City

The main Plaza in Guatemala City, is filled with vendors of all sorts on any given Sunday. A fun place for people watching.

Let the Children Play

Kids are the same all over the world no matter where you go. They are usually  very easy to photography and for me the most fun. I love the way they play up to the camera with genuine and beautiful smiles.

Lake Petenitza

Lake Petenitza, in Guatemala, one of the most beautiful places on earth that I have been to. I'm not a morning person but I got up early to see what the day would bring and I wasn't disappointed. Guatemala, is definitely a photographers paradise. Not only is the landscape amazing but so are the people.

President Day

When I think about our Presidents the first two that come to mind are George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. They both made huge contribution to our great nation. Lincoln is so revered that even in foreign countries, as seen in the postage stamps below people seem to know who he is and  especally in Mexico, there are even streets named after him.
Pray for America..

..and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14

Out of Egypt

With all that's going on in Egypt and in the Middle East. All I could think of was to pray for these people that the Gospel message would have a strong voice in that land.

The Lord will strike Egypt in a way that will bring healing. For the Egyptians will turn to the Lord, and he will listen to there pleas and heal them.

Ministering to the Homeless

If your looking for a life changing experience  ministering to less fortunate is a great way to be reminded of just how blessed we are. Every year I would go on a mission trips overseas and upon my return home I would be reminded that there are people here in my backyard that need help to.

Lighting

It's all in the lighting. I came across the Capital earlier in the day and it didn't really capture my attention that much.
A few hours later as the sun was going down the lighting had changed and this made for a nice image.
