Ponte JK

Ponte JK all lit up last year for Christmas
Full Moon Over Ponte JK with Bridge Lit Up with the Colors of Brazil
For the last few years around Christmas time I like to go down to the Ponte JK or JK Bridge here in Brasilia, to photograph it and see how they've lit it up. This year I believe because of the crisis they didn't put any color gels on it or at least the last time I saw it, it was still plain white. Maybe next year.

View of the World Famous  Pão de Açúcar from atop Santa Teresa
I took a quick trip to vist Escadaria Selarón aka 'Selaron Steps and the Santa Teresa Neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro the other day. I really didn't know that this place existed in Rio as its over shadowed by the Christ the Redeener and Sugar loaf Mountain or Pão de Açúcar attractions not to mention the beaches. It's quite an interesting place to hang out and see a different part of Rio.

Rio de Janeiro by Night with Christ the Redeemer Over Looking the City
I couldn't decide which photo I liked best so I uploaded both of these. Definitely one of the most beautiful cities I've ever been too. I love the way the light is bouncing off the Christ the Redeemer Statue into the clouds as if to say, Jesus the Light of the World.

German Fans Being Interviewed by the Local Press in Brasilia.
The Long Walk to the Mané Garrincha Stadium. You had to Park 2km away for Security Purposes
Official Flag Bearer on Opening Day
Well, thank God the 2016 Olympic Games went off without a Hitch other than the fact that a few America Swimmer had a few to many one night and came up with a tall tale of being robbed. I had the feeling that things would run smoothly and they did even though Brazil, was bombarded with negative exaggerated stories from the liberal media.

Salto do Tororó

River that flows at Salto do Tororó outside Brasilia, Brazil

Amazing Waterfall at Salto do Tororó, outside of Brasilia, Brazil
Beautiful and Peaceful is the best way to describe this place. I love venturing out in nature or as I like to say, I love looking at the handy work of God. Nature in all its glory is like the fingerprint of God, proof positive so no one will an excuse of his existence. Its the fool that says in his heart there is no God. So, don't be foolish. Trust God in all you do.

Digital TV Tower

As the Sunsets on the Digital TV Tower in Brasilia, Brazil.
Do you sometimes feel like your on the outside looking in or on the wrong side of the fence? To me, as the world becomes more and more wicked that's the way I way feel someday's. But thank God as the sun raises everyday from the east I know there's still hope and time to pray for those who are lost dying and hurting.

In A World thats Gone Upside Down

Parque da Cidade, Brasilia, Brazil
This Reflection reminds me of the days we are now living in where right is wrong and wrong is right. In other words the World has gone totally upside down. In the natural it can be depressing so I have to remind myself that my hope and future does not depend on a mad corrupt world system but on the one who created everything and will one day soon, come back and rule the world forever with truth and justice. Maranatha quickly come Lord Jesus!

I love where I live. The weather is always nice year round and I always dreamed of living in a place like this. No place on earth is perfect but I'm always very grateful every morning when I wake up to be here and I thank God for bringing here. I just pray that I will make the most of my time while I'm here.

Protesters Part 2

The Sign Reads-Lula Head Boss of the Bandits

Praying for a better tomorrow

Protester pondering the question. What do we do next?
As the protests continued for several days in different cities throughout Brazil I was reminded that protesting (peaceful protest) all though nothing wrong with it seems to accomplice very little. You can't impeach a president with a protest it has to be done through legal channels and here lies the problem. With just about every other politician corrupt that's a can be a hard thing to do. The only answer is prayer.

Ephesians 6:12 King James Version (KJV)

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Protesters-Manifestantes

Protesters at the  Esplanade dos Ministérios in Brasilia

Patriotic Brazilian calling for Justice
Impeachment was the Order of the Day
A big protest broke out in Brasilia on Sunday (March 13th) about 100,000 people in Brasilia showed up and continues on in today in several cities in Brazil. They are protesting the corruption in the government and calling for the impeachment of president Dilma RousseffIn addition to the calling for the impeachment of the president the former president, Lula, was shall we say detain but not arrested by the Federal police for his role in the Petrobras corruption investigation fraud and money laundering. However to add insult to injury to the Brazilian people Lula, for all his involvement in this corruption, money laundering and fraud scandal was awarded a cabinet position by president Rousseff.
The sign says it all. Engouh of Corruption, Out Dilma, Out Lula Out PT
