The Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon in Rio de Janeiro foreground, and Ipanema Beach. I do not of anywhere else in the world where there is a Lagoon this big so close to the ocean. It's a spectacular site from on top of Corcovado Mountain.

Pão de Açúcar-on the Guanabara Bay-Rio de Janeiro

This spectacular view of  Pão de Açúcar in Rio de Janeiro, was taken from on top of Corovado Mountain. Clouds kept rolling in and out at times making it impossible to even see anything below which I thought made the view that much more interesting at times.
