Seen Better Days

Closed due to poor Management

Where's the Entrance
Every city has one. A place or a set of buildings that have seen better days. These two building are actual situated in a fairly nice part of town in Cuiaba, Brazil, in the state of Mato Grosso. Whenever I walk pass something like this my first thought is what happen. Why are there run down building in a part of a city that is not exactly the other side of the tracks. Lots of times the answer to this looming question is a family feud of some kind or a owner who dies and doesn't leave it to anyone or both. Moral of the story is, store up treasures in heavens and put your trust in the one that has Eternal Valve...Jesus Christ God's Son and Savior...Amen

Food Preparation-A hora do almoço

Isabella painstakingly cutting the Mandioca (Yuca)
Lucas-L and Matheus-R marinating the Beef.
Here in the outback of Mato Grosso,Brazil,  the women prepare the vegetables and the men carefully prepare the meat. Everyone here takes food preparation very serious and with a lot of pride. after all I was told, you don't want to get a reputation for making bad and tasteless food. All the food is brought in daily from local farms to ensure freshness and  high quality.

Veu do Noiva-Bride's Veil Waterfall

Veu do Noiva, Standing 86m or 282 feet tall
Bottom of the fall
The Spectaulor Veu do Noiva Waterfall located in the heart of Chapada dos Guimaares in the state of Mato Grosso, Brazil. Unfortunately visitors are not allowed to go down to the bottom of the fall for safety reasons. Although standing from atop is pretty impressive especially when an occasional group of Scarlet Macaws would fly over head.

Minha Casa--My House

Last Blue House on the Left

House Built Out Of Palm Branches, Mato Grosso, Brazil
Storing up treasures in heaven is a hard concept for a lot of people to understand especial Americans who are use to having thing now and right away, I call them the" Now Generation," Gotta have it now. In Matthew 19:20 the Bible says But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. And in John 14:2 Jesus said; In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. So when I see people who seem to not have a lot as in the photos above, I'm reminded of those two verse of scriptures and realize that their situation on earth is only temporal but the promise of Heaven, to those who believe and receive Jesus into their hearts is eternal. Small Hut today Mansion tomorrow.

You know these birds are coming by all noise they start making as they appoach there nesting ground for the night. It's hard to see but there are actually birds nesting in the trees top photo.
