Everybody was happy yesterday in Brasilia, as the country celebrated it Independence Day with a grand parade. Since it fell on a Friday, that meant a three day weekend, and in Brasilia, a three day week means, lets go to Rio!!  At lest for people with cushy government jobs and that mean more work for waiters in Rio, especially on Copacabana beach.

Local Fisherman

These guy's are out in water bright and early ever morning catching fish in these little boats. They bring there catch in and clean them right there in a little shop (to the right not pictured) and them sell their fish to the local vendor along the strip of Copacbana beach.

Rock n Rio

There's a lot to do on the beach in Rio. You can admire all the sand sculpture's that the local artist make or just play soccer for awhile. As for me I'll sit and and watch the waves  and enjoy a nice cold coco.
