Five Friends

While taking photos for a local church in Brasilia, the other day these five young boys were more than happy to help out with the unloading and distribution of food a blankets. It did seem a little strange to give out blanket with the temperature in low 80s, but it is winter time here and it does get down into the upper the 50s at night this time of year. All things considered  I was most impressed with was how orderly these people were and how appreciative there are that someone cares enough about them to help them.

Well, I'm always impressed whenever I see the youth out preaching and teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. These young kids from the Igreja Cristã Evangélica in Brasilia, Brazil, are doing just that on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. They could be out doing other things like most kids might be doing on a Saturday but they choose to be out witnessing and teaching God word. God bless them all the days of there lives and may they continue to win souls for for Brazil.

I met this delightful family the other day while walking. They were more than happy to talk with me seeing how most people just ignore them or look down on them. The truth is, God, said in this word that you will always have the poor and weak with you. They might be poor but given the chance these kids could grow up to be Might Warriors for Christ and his Kingdom. Next time I see them I'll invite them over for dinner.

Proverbs 19:17 If you help the poor,you are lending to the Lord--and he will repay you.

Proverbs 28:27 Whoever gives to the poor will lack nothing. But a curse will come upon those who close their eyes to poverty.

Proverbs 22:9 Blessed are those who are generous, because they feed the poor.

Isaiah 58:10 Feed the hungry,
    and help those in trouble.
Then your light will shine out from the darkness,
    and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon.

I'm always remind that our future lies with are youth. Not all school are perfect but a least in Christ centered school like Jesss Christian Academy they'll have a better chance of having a christian world view and hopeful know the different between right and wrong especially today were we live in a world where right is wrong, and wrong is right.

Youth Pastor Thiago, teaching a outdoor Bible lesson at a local park in Brasilia. If you lose the the youth, you lose the Nation. Hopefully these young men will grow up and be strong and mighty warriors for King Jesus.
