This little guy sure was happy to pose for me with a big warm smile. His parent attend a church outside of Guatemala City, were they are feed and given medical attention through out the year from an international ministry called Charlies Lunch.

I once read a statistic that peole in Guatemala are happier than people in the US. I can believe that! Just look at this beatiful smile on this mother and her child.

Friends

Sometimes kids can really touch your heart such as these girls from Guatemala. The girl on the right Brenda, told my wife she wanted to be a Doctor. I pray that someday she will accomplish that dream.

Lightning

I don't get  a chance to photograph lightning very often. Somewhere between 1&2 in the morning I was a waken when this storm came through. Fortunately I already had my camera set up on a tripod and was ready to go.

Woman Carrying Fruit

In Lunada, Angola, you'll see women all over the city carrying all sorts of goods and products for sell. How they manage all day long is beyond me especially when many of them have babies to care for. Many of the women I saw also carry their goods balanced them on their head without using there hands for support.

Fishing

I was sitting outside at a local restaurant called Por do Sol, in Luanda, Angola, Africa, watching these guy's fish. Then I wondered if the delicious fish dinner I'd just eaten came from them or someone close by. Nothing like the fresh catch of the day.

Young Boy Thinking

I'll always wonder want this kid might be thinking as he looks off into the distance. Perhaps a new life in a country like the US were so many people from all over the world come to better themselves. Sunday School Teacher

This young women is a dedicated Sunday School Teacher in Los Ocotes, Guatemala, outside of Guatemala City. With very limited resources these people share and teach the Gospel message of Jesus with an enthusiasm not matched in the US.

Rainbow

Rainbow? You might ask yourself whats the big deal about a rainbow? Well, if you live in a place were it doesn't rain very much theses can be a rare site of maybe just one or two a year.

Two Sisters

Two sisters, two cousins. I met these two young girls in Juarez Mexico. The girl on the right is 17 and her sister on the left was 15 at the time. Both had babies just few months apart from each other. I've always wonder want may have become of them especially now that Juarez has become a war zone. I pray that thier safe and doing well.

Organ Mountains

Whenever I travel through the beautiful state of New Mexico, I always take my camera with me. This time in particular I was rewarded this images of the Organ Mountains at sunset.

Everywhere you go in China people are taking photos of each other. I love taking photos of people that I find look unique or interesting. I liked the haircut of the young lady on the far left and these three girl together I thought make for an interesting shot. Photo taken in Beijing China.

This young boy in Guatemala, was very excited to show me his skills with a top. I wonder how many kids in the US could be as happy as this kid with just a simple toy to play with.

Beaches

It won't be long before it time to go to a nice beach somewhere especially if you live in the Northern Hemisphere.Yes, I find myself staring at this photo a lot during the cold winter months. Nothing like sitting relaxing and listening to music at a beautiful spot like this.

My new Friend

I have found that kids are basically the same all over the world. I haven't been anywhere,where there not curious about a camera. Such is the case with my new friend here. I don't need to speak Chinese or any other language for that fact to make a new friend. I just need my camera and a simle on my face. Photo taken in a small village outside of Kunming China.

Abandon

This lonely looking adobe structure is enhanced by the fact that it was taken at twilight adding a bit more drama to the image. I love this time of the day for photos but you've got to move fast it doesn't last long.

Violin Player

One evening while photographing an event a Mariachi band began to play. This young lady playing the violin proved to be the most out going and most photogenic of the group. I believe she was also the band leader.

Smiley

Nothing like being greeted by a smiling face in a new strange city. This young man who was delivering coal in this Beijing neighborhood was quick to smile for the camera. He was the first of many friendly faces I would encounter in this unbelievable city.

Little Girl

Mother carrying her little girl across the street. I came across this mother and daughter at a busy cross walk in Cordoba Argentina. This little girl was more than happy for me to snap a quick portrait of her while her mother was holding her to protecting her from the on coming traffic. Thank God for Moms!

Street Performer

Street performer taking a break on a busy Sunday afternoon to have a empanada in the San Telmo, section of Buenos Aires. Sundays are very festive in this part of town with all kinds of performers food vendors and of course, the tourist that come from all over the world to visit this magnificent city.

Weekend Get Away

It's the weekend!! And what could be more enjoyable than to be outside camping on a lake somewhere. I stumbled across this family setting up camp one weekend near Embalse Argentina.

Color Guard

When walking around a  big city or any place for that fact you never know what you'll run into. On this particular afternoon in Buenos Aries, Argentina, I came across this Color Guard in the Plaza San Martin. The guard was there with his troop of about fifty soldiers to meet a visiting dignitary from Africa, who was there to place a ref at the foot of a statue in the plaza

Chichen Itza

This incredible Pyramid in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico, was quite a climb. Doesn't look that big at first but when you reach the top, well that's another story it's almost straight down when you descend. Now I know what the rope was for and why people were coming down backwards.

Arctic Sunset

As winter starts to wind down I'm remind of this photo that I took in Barrow Alaska, as the sun was setting on a late March afternoon. Temp around 2 degrees.  

Friends

Five young ladies hanging out together in a small community outside of Guatemala City. When you leave the big city there is more a sense of unity and friendship among the people as opposed to the feeling of suspicion that comes from big city life.
