Faces in the Crowd

The Long Line to Get In.

Finally made it to the front

Brazilian ViQueen?

Some of the few Fans from Cameroon.
By far the largest I've seen at the Stadium,  Mané Garrincha, in Brasilia was when Brazil, played Cameroon. Despite the 71,000 plus fans that show up the lines surprisingly moved quickly. Fans from Cameroon were definitely out number by Brazilian fans.

How Do I Look?
Brazilian fans from the North East

Ronaldinho. I think.

Fans came out from all over Brazil, the other day to support their team as they took on Cameroon. And yes they had plenty to smile about as Brazil defeated Cameroon to advance on to the stage.

Man Riding his Bike to get to the National Stadium.

Catedral de Brasilia, Open Late at Night So Fans Can Pray.
All roads leads to Brasilia, at least they will tomorrow when Brazil, takes on Cameroon, in what should be an exciting day in the Capital City of Brazil. There is so much excited in fact that tomorrow  was declared a Holiday and the whole city will be shut down to focus on the game.

Colombia's Day

The Lovely Antonia from Bogota, showing off  her Baby Bump

Fans from Brazil and Colombia come together.
Young Colombian Fan Showing off the Flag
Today was a big win for Colombia as they beat Ivory Coast, in Brasilia 2-1. The enthusiasm was high as mostly fans from Colombia entered the Stadium. It seems that Ivory Coast fan where few and far between to find not sure why. However I did finally see a few sitting under a tree near the stadium watching the game on a TV that was actual propped up on the tree.

Well, the Stadium was pack out the other day and tourist were all out taking in the sites around Brasilia. While shooting with my friend and fellow photographer  Oswaldo, we came across this friendly Samba Troupe greeting tourist and having their photos taken with them. I didn't realize at time that they are friends Oswaldo, as he told me that they perform in and around Brasilia all the time and they are one of the official Samba dance groups from Brasilia, that all the local embassies hire for special occasions and visiting dignitary's.

National Museum with a Slide Show of Colorful Images Playing on it.
With the start of the World Cup many buildings in Brasilia, are begin lit up in the country's color as seen in the top photos of the Congresso Nacional in the backgroud. The National Museum was also open late the other night so visitor from around Brazil and the world could enjoy it from the inside out.

Mané Garrincha, Stadium in Brasilia

Mané Garrincha Stadium, Brasilia, Brazil, All Lit Up.
Let the games begin as they say. Ecuador takes on Switzerland In the first World Cup game in Brasilia, tommorw June 15. Mané Garrincha is the second most expense Stadium ever built in the world. However the stadium is designed for natural ventilation. The stadium's roof membrane is self-cleaning and fire resistant It also reflects ultraviolet rays and allows natural ventilation. Good on nights when there's a hot rock concert going on.

Dia dos Copo Mundial

Let The Games Begin
I love you honey but is's time to watch the game.
Well this years Dia dos Namorados or Valentines Day in Brazil had a different twist to it. With the start of the World Cup the theme was, well, World Cup day, what else. All joking aside though, marriage is a serious commitment and I pray that all these beautiful couples will honor the Lord with their commitment to him. We are living in a day when marriage is under great attack from the left and all the ungodly people who have perverted what is of God. A marriage is between an man and a women, always has been and always will be. Not between Adam and Steve or Eve and Yvette. God always wants whats best for us. Proverbs 18:22 22 He who finds a [true] wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.
