Three Friends

Iury, is Studying  Social Science
Sirley, is Studying to be a Social Worker and Biology
Francico, is Studying  Biology
These three young indigenous people  (Iury-Top Sirley-Middle Francisco-Bottom) were on there way to Brasilia, Brazil from the State of Amazonas, where their from in the Northwestern part of  Brazil, to study at the local University when they found each other at the airport in Manaus, the capital of Amazonas. They quickly became fast friends when they realize they were all going to Brasilia, for the same reason. This is the first time they have ever been away from home and outside of their home state for that fact, and taken a plane anywhere. All three are from different parts of Amazonas, but the one thing they have in common is that once you arrive at Manaus, the capital you must take a three to five day boat ride to get to their  perspective villages seeing how there are no roads where they live only rivers. God bless them as they study to try make a better life for themselves so they can return home one day and help their families.

Just Drums

Bruna, pound out the the rhythm.
Cristina, giving it all she's got for the local news camera.
Izabell, I think she was the Drum Princess.
A group of young lady samba drummers showing off their musical skill to prove a point, that all you need is a good beat to make a crowd happy. Well, there's more to it than that but, the drums are the foundation of most music in the world today from Rock to R&B, Latin and Jazz,  you name it there's a beat. After all where does music come from? It's all over the scriptures especially in the book of Psalms. And not only that, drums is among the oldest instrument in the world along with the cymbals and of course the human voice.

Little Superheroes

Wonder Baby Looking for Mom
Spider Boy Ready for a Nap
I'm just waiting for the rest of my teeth to come in.
These little Superheroes are the next generation of crime fighters. You never know what goes through a child's mind  or what might influence him or her to choose a certain career path later in life by the things theirs expose to. It could be music such as in my case, sports, the military or a whole host of choices out there. Whatever these little ones choose may God bless them that they would succeed and accomplish their dreams in life. Just dream big!!

Art in the Park

Artwork in front of the National Museum Brasilia, Brazil.
Step aside your in my way!
On any given Sunday there always something to see or do in the Plano Piloto, in Brasilia. Take this huge outdoor photo exhibit in front of the museum with lights and all. I was impressed by the fact that it was lit up nicely at night so you weren't limited to viewing it during the day like other exhibits I've seen in other cities that were only viewable during the day. I wonder where this guy stores his photos when there not on display?  He must have a big attic.
