Who Will Help The Poor?

Young mother Erarra , with her baby Isaac, and her Aunt Celina

While picking mango the other day I stumbled across this group of ladies (there were two more not pictured) and five babies. Two of the babies I was told were only 13 days old. They even let me hold one of them, the little guy in the top photo in yellow, his name is Isaac. Every year around Christmas time these poor people come from different parts of Brazil, and converge on Brasilia, in hope that people will take pity on them and give them gifts, mainly, food and clothing. When I ask them how I could help them they said they just needed clothes for the babies. About that time three cars pull up and a guy named Cristiano got out with his family and some other people with gift for the little ones and food. He told me that every year at his place of work he ask his co-worker for donations of food and clothing for the poor that come to Brasilia, every year. He said that this year not a lot of people wanted to come with him as in previous years. When I asked him why he said that a lot of his friends and co-workers are scared of these people. It made me realize that in life we hold back and don't do things because of fear. I pray that in 2015 I will not let fear stop me from doing what God has planned for my life.  2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Matthew 26:11 You will always have the poor among you.

Keep Christ in Christmas

Need I explain, its' a Christmas Tree!

Rare Nativity Scene

Reindeer's Grazing in the Grass
Well, its Christmas time again in the city. If your a Christian this is joyous time as we celebrate the birth of our King, Lord and Savoir Jesus. The one to whom one day soon, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess the Jesus Christ is Lord of all to the Glory of God. Don't go another day with out making Jesus your Lord and Savoir. He came to seek and save the lost.

End of the Day

Alter do Chão, Para, Brazil
End of the day and close to the end of the year for that fact. At the end of everyday I like to reflect on what the day was like. Did I accomplish everything I set out to do? or was it just another day sort of speaking. One thing is for your sure, I can always thank God for my many blessing and for directing my life. Though I don't always understand what happens along the way I just trust him by faith that everything is going to work out for his glory. I don't want to live for myself or for selfish gain. Each day when I wake up I give thanks to God for sending his son and my Savoir Jesus into this dark world to seek and save those who are lost and with out hope. Lord Jesus, come quickly. Amen

Igreja Da Paz-Church of Peace

Igreja Da Paz, Tapajos National Forest, Para, Brazil

Fisherman on the Rio Tapajos, in the state of Para, Brazil
Right in the Middle of the Amazon Forest or Jungle if you want to call it, is a little church with five members. I guess you could say its a start. It's not the size of the church but the power of the church,  meaning,, are they preaching and teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ the power to transform ones life? It was encouraging to see that in this far away place someone care enough to go and start a church to preach the good news about the Prince of Peace. In the bottom photo I was remind of two things. Fishing has changed much since the days of Jesus, when he called Peter and Andrew to come be his disciples and he would make them fishers of men. Just a simple boat and a net.

Give Thanks

Today I give thanks with a grateful heart, I give thank to God Almighty and his son Jesus and the Holy Spirit working every day in life to mold me and shape into the man of God he desires
Sunset on the Rio Tapajos, Para, Brazil
me to be. I give thanks for my Mother and Father and all my relatives and friend that are in my life today may God bless you all and keep you safe. 1 Thessalonians 3:12-13, 12 May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you. 13 May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones.

Shy Little Girl

Shy Little One, Tapajos National Forest, Brazil
Deep in the Tapajos National Forest in the State of Para, Brazil, lives a shy little girl with her family. Hopefully this little one will have a chance to grow up strong and healthy and someday know the Lord. Psalm 127:3 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Luke 18:16 But Jesus called them to him, saying, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. There are many Bible Verses giving references to children and what a blessing they are. Jeremiah 1:5 "I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations." One thing all these Scriptures do is nail and expose the abortionist and expose their evil plans for the unborn or nearly born. Matthew 18:6 But if you cause one of these little ones who trusts in me to fall into sin, it would be better for you to have a large millstone tied around your neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea. This verse says it all especially in today's society in the USA where the school systems are trying to indoctrinate young kids into all kinds of sine and debauchery.

Nothing Last Forever

Corner Lot for Sale? Needs a little Work. Belém do Pará

Shirtless Man Looking for his Wife. Belém do Pará

I think the Bushes need Trimming. Belém do Pará
Nothing last forever but the Earth and Sky as the old saying goes. I think that just about every major city in the world has a section where Old Buildings and Homes have seen better days. For me its especially sad when these old building were at one time beautiful showcases for the city. Well, for whatever the reason I know that one day I will live in a big beautiful Mansion, that's a promises from Jesus himself. And if Jesus said it I believe it and that settles it. Amen to the Glory of God!

A Banana Republic

Bananas fresh off the boat going to Market.

Bananas at the Market

Local man taking bananas home from the Market
I don't think I've ever seen so many bananas before. It seemed like there where bananas everywhere in the town of  Santarem, Para, in Brazil. A local gentleman tried to explain to me where they import the bananas from but I didn't quite understand him. All I understood is that bananas are not native to this part of Brazil, but very popular. They arrive by boat every morning.

You'l need to come early to buy fish because this where all the local Restaurants in Belém come to buy their fish for the "Fresh Catch of the Day" menu. Depending on whats brought in and the price this will determine what the local Restaurants prepare.   .

Dock of the Bay-Belém do Pará

Small Passenger Boats on the River Guama, -Belém do Pará

Local Fisherman Securing their Boats on the River Guama, Belém do Pará
Dock of the Bay or This must be my Ship coming in. Either way making a living as a fisherman must be a hard job. Long hour and sleepless nights. Maybe that 's why some of  Jesus first disciples were fisherman. They knew what it was like to work hard.  Matthew 4:19 And He said to them, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men."

Its Been 13 Years

Obama Waiting for his Golf Cart to Arrive
America Bless God Today
The Border is Secure Your Safe to Pass Through Now.
Today marks the 13th anniversary of  9-11 the worst attack on American soil. Since then Muslims have made tremendous inroads into America. Some would also argue they have successfully infiltrated the American government and through Obama, he has weaken America and made it Anti Christian. But I believe there is still hope for America. The godly of the land those who have their hope in Jesus will win in the end and for those who have made government their god I can only pray for them to turn to the True and Living God Jesus Christ the hope of glory and The real Hope and Change of the USA.

Chief Botocudo

Chief Botocudo in His Colorful Outfit
Well, I don't know his name but his face sure rings a bell. Chief Botocudo was kind enough to let me take a quick snap of him as he packing up and getting ready to leave. The chief was in town the help celebrate the 54th anniversary of Brasilia, back a few months ago. He told me if  I'm ever in Amazônia, to look him up. He said once you make to Amazônia, it just a five day boat ride to his house.

Flute & Drum

Seu Sérgio Playing  one of his many hand mdae flutes

Ana Lídia helping Dad out.
Dad on the flute and youngest daughter on the drum. Probably two of the oldest instruments in the  world, the Flute and the Drum. Back in Genesis Chapter 4:21 the Bible mentions the first musician Jubal, was his name. He had a full time job making and playing instruments. As a musician I've always found it interesting that the Bible mentions the first musician on earth. Then all throughout the Bible we see how music was used to defeat the enemy and give glory to God. And still to this day music, if used properly (to worship God) can be a powerful force in your life to set you free and bring healing and peace into your life.

Fans Just Wanna Have Fun

Han Van Zoe visiting Brasilia, from Holland.

Yuri Koloff from Russia with Love

Ling and Ming
While most of the world is in turmoil today especially in the middle it can be refreshing to see people from all over the getting along just fine. All of the problems where theses people come from is the oppressive governments that insure they will not exactly live happy lives. My friend from from Holland pays to much taxes. My friend from Russia, believes in God and freedom and my friends from China just want to have three kids and open a Chinese Restaurant. Now that's not to much to ask is it? Photos taken during the last World Game in Brasilia, Brazil. Holland took third place

Moon Rise Over Brasilia

Moon Rise Over Brasilia

Moon High in the Sky
There is something about a Moon rise that I find just fascinating and beautiful. And with Four Blood Moons schedule to appear in the next year from April 2014 through September 2015 it make it all the more interesting on whats going to take place on Gods calendar. Joel Chapter 2v30-32 says 30 I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and billows of smoke. 31 The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD. 32 And everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved; for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance, as the LORD has said, among the survivors whom the LORD calls. Looks like lots of exciting things on the horizon for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Pro Israel Fan

The sign reads" Barack Obama the prince of the Apocalypse abyss."
This young man has got it right. Israel has the right to exist. Israel is Americas most loyal friend in the Middle East so, America needs to start acting like it and start treating them like a friend. What happens in Israel will determine what happen in the US and the rest of the world. When the last battle is fought Israel will prevail. Israel is not occupying the land of Israel it owns it. If every terrorist organization in the world would lay down it's arms there will be peace. God bless Israel.

For me the best part was just talking to the different people who had come to Brasilia, and getting their opinion about the city.
