May God bless all the poor and needy Families here in Planaltina, and though out Brazil. May God give them more Mercy, Peace and Love through his son Jesus Christ, the King of Kings Amen.

Little Girl Smiling for the Camera

Little Boy with a Serious Face
I don't know the names of these two kids. They live in a little community outside of Brasilia, Brazil , in a town called Planaltina in the state Goiás. Kids of their age are very curious and love to be photographed many times egging me on to photograph them, which I do. Lord willing I can go back someday and photograph them when they get older.

Children Portraits

Lana with her Little Brother Oliver

Beautiful Blue Eyes
Kids grow up so fast. Parents should take a lot of picture of them while still growing up to document  their lives. I for one, am grateful for the photos that my parents took of me and my brothers growing up.  I wonder what these two sibling will look like in ten or twenty years from now. Hopefully Lord willing I'll get a chance to photography them again

Street Portraits

Young Father with his Son Bangkok, Thailand
Young Thai Girl Bangkok, Thailand
One thing I love to do when visiting a Foreign Country or a new city is to walk around and observer the people I see and meet. Are they friendly, rude will they talk to me and most of all will they let me take a portrait of them. In the Photo above of the Father with his son I had seen them the day before and want to photograph him with his son. I kind of hesitated and them he was gone disappearing back into his neighborhood. What actual caught my attention about him is that the day before he was wearing these striking black round glasses. The next day I wander into this neighborhood and there he was again with his son I politely ask if I could photograph him and he was more than happy to oblige. It wasn't until I got home and was editing my photos that I noticed he had changed his glasses. The little girl on the bottom as you can see was more than happy to pose for me.

Big Protest in Brasilia Today

Black Smoke Rises in the Distance as Protesters Look on.

Protesters Marching on the Esplanda (Mall) in Brasilia

A Protester Hiding Her Face

Protesters Look on at the Smoke as a Police Helicopter Circles the Area
An exciting day today in the capital city of Brasilia, Brazil. About 100,000 people took to the streets to protests the deep corruption of the politicians in Brazil. I think in most countries around the world the general population is fed up with their politician. It just seems like it hard to find honest people to run for government offices these days as a result the people suffer under high taxes unemployment and and a system that's broken.

Walking Tour

I think there's a Business Opportunity Here

Beware of Quick Sand
While walking around the bustling metropolis the town of Soure, in Ilha Marajo, Brazil, I came across this old abandon building and wonder what the history of it might be. Why would a building on prime property be abandon? I could only image. Lots of scenarios went through my head. But for now it'll be a mystery until I return to Soure. So, as I continued my walking tour I came across this boat and decided to move in closer for some better photos. Big mistake. As started walking across the muddy path along the river I started sinking and I mean sinking fast. I though I was in quick sand and was wondering how to get out of this mess. The faster I tried to move with each step the deeper I sank. Finally after several minutes of struggling in the the sinking mud I managed to escape with camera in hand and totally forgot about the close up photos of the boat.

You Don't See this Everyday

Two Horses Grassing on the Front Lawn of a Home. Ilha Marajo, Brazil

School Bus Boat, Ilha Marajo, Brazil. All Aboard

Typical Wooden Home that comes with a Pig Feeding that you'll see on Ilha Marajo, Brazil
Well,  I must admit, while walking along the mostly dirt streets of the town of Soure, on Ilha Marajo, Brazil, I came across a Horse with her young colt feeding on the front lawn of a house. I try to pet the colt but she would have nothing to do with me. And further down the road by the river I came across this School Bus Boat. First one I've ever seen.

As the Sunsets in Ilha Marajo

Early Evening on a Lonely Trial as the Sun Begins to Set

I guess you could call it an Amazonian Sunset

What a great way to finish a leisurely walk through the Amazon Region of Brazil, than to watch the sunset slowly in this peaceful part of the world. I personally enjoy being out in nature and Brazil, has a lot to offer when it come to nature or as I like to call the "The Handy Work of God." I've only scratched the surface and hope to Lord willing document some more of it.

Three Happy Kids
Well,  I don't remember their names but they were more than happy to have their photo taken by me. When I ask them if  I could photograph them they came running over to me all smiles. They might not have a lot of  material things like other kids in more develop parts of the world but they sure are happy kids.

This Old House

Yes Someone Lives Here. Town of Soure in Ilha Marajo. Brazil

Colorful Laundry Hanging out to Dry
While walking the dirt streets of the little Island town of Soure, on Marajo Island in the Northern part of the State of Para, Brazil I came across theses two homes and wonder if any anybody really lived there especial the top house that looks like its about to collapse. As I approached the top house I looked inside and there was a woman sitting there at what looked liked the kitchen she greeted me with a warm smile and said hello. Well, that answered my question real fast. On a positive note it looks like they where building a new house behind this one with bricks. I sure hope so.
