Igreja Nossa Senhora do Rosário

Igreja Nossa Senhora do Rosário

View from a Distants
The iconic symbol of the city of Pirenópolis, in the state of Goiás, Brazil. It's one of the first things that you will see in this charming little town of less than 20,000 people. Many Brazilian come from all over the country just to be married in this historic church.

Little Cutie

Renata
A portrait from a photo shoot I did the other day. This little cutie Renata, was so shy the first day I met her that we did some test shots. By the second day she had warmed up to me and we had great time working on different poses and she turn out to be a great little model.

Enjoying God's Creation

River that runs through Itiquira Falls

Beauty in Motion
I enjoy nature and the handy work of Father God who sets all things in motion. Notice I said Father God, and not mother nature the pagan goddess, that's because there is no mother nature who created anything.

Christ (who is God) is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before God made anything at all and is supreme over all creation. Christ is the one through whom God created everything in heaven and earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can't see--kings, kingdoms, rulers and authorities . Everything has been created through him and for him. He existed before everything else began, and he holds all creation together.   Colossians 1: 15-17

And that my friends settles it!!

Beautiful Falls

Itiquira Falls
Another smaller waterfall while walking along the tranquil path at Itiquira Falls outside of Brasilia, Brazil. I basically had the place to myself which made it easier to photograph, and because there was no one in my way I could take my time, seeing how some of theses exposures took as much as 8 seconds to capture

Little Waterfall

Itiquira Falls
One of the smaller waterfalls you'll see at Itiquira Falls outside of Brasilia, Brazil. On my first walk through of the park the sun was shining down on this area and I wasn't able to capture the photo I was looking for. Came back about an hour later and this place was now in the shade allowing me to use a slower shutter speed to be able to make this image. This is a beautiful and tranquil place to spend the day

Shuyana

Shuyana, playing her guitar

Waiting outside the Church
I have been very impress with the young people that I have met while living in South America, and this young lady Shuyana, is no exception. She is very talented loves the Lord, plays many musical instruments, is good with kids and has the heart of a servant.  She was my interpreter, when I taught drum lessons at the Allegro school of Music in Quito, Ecuador.  She, along with her parents and two sister attend the Iglesia La Viña where they are all active member  severing the Lord enthusiastically. I've said it before in other post it's the youth that is the future and the only thing that can change the world is the Gospel of Jesus Christ!!

Museo Mitad Del Mundo

Tour Guide Ana with Giant Baby Spider

Shrunken Head
These are just some of the interesting things you'll see at the Museum at the Middle of the World or Museo Mitad Del Mundo. A giant baby spider and a shrunken head of a  twelve year old child. There was another head that was brought out but I was not allowed to photograph it not sure way. The tour was interesting none the less although I was told the price has gone up in the last few years from $.25 cents to $4.00 dollars. So if you plan a trip there save up for the entry fee.

The Equator

Middle of the World
Well, I always wonder what the Equator looks like and know I know. It's a white line with a red line in the middle. They say it dons't rain much at the Equator but it did this day which may have been a blessing, although he temperature hardly ever gets above 75 degrees it feels hotter and you can burn more easily.

Streets of Quito

Man against a colorful background
Waiting for more Customers
Whenever I'm riding around a new city I always have my camera in hand and and try to take photos on the fly, meaning out the window as I'm pass by, sometimes I works and sometimes it doesn't. A city like Quito, Ecuador, is a very photographic city but clouds are always rolling in and out making for slower  shutter speeds and harder to the shot out the window you hoping to get.

Ouch!! That hurt, yes these weren't the biggest pieces of hail I've ever seen but they sure hurt when they hit my head. As I took cover these three young students were kind enough to let me take an environmental portrait of them. That's why I try to always have my camera with me. Photos taken in Quito, Ecuador.

Not all school are perfect but a least in Christ centered school like Jesss Christian Academy they'll have a better chance of having a christian world view and hopeful know the different between right and wrong especially today were we live in a world where right is wrong, and wrong is right.

Lance before his face burned
This was a blast playing here at the Jesss Christian Academy in Quito, Ecuador. The kids were well behaved and I had fun getting to talk with them. Although it wasn't hot outside temps in the 60's, playing this close to the equator you will burn especially if your light completed like are Bass player Lance Martin, who burned, ouch!! My flute playing wife brought her sunscreen so she didn't burn.
